Who we are looking for:

Are you a detailed and possesses excellent communication professional with a positive attitude and an appetite for growth? If so, you might be a great fit for our company. We are a successful start-up company, and we are looking for an Event & Project Manager to be part of the next stage of our growth. You will develop project plans, that outline business problem, project objectives, deliverables, and risk assessment. You are also responsible in guiding the teams to execute events within time frame with approved budgets.


A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

  1. Collaborate with management to ensure adherence to project plans and budgets.
  2. Prepare and present event proposals to management and clients for approval.
  3. Review project deliverables to confirm compliance with project plans. Address escalated issues and deviations from plans.
  4. Develop event plans and incorporate risk management strategies.
  5. Source and manage vendors and suppliers, ensuring quality services that enhance the project.
  6. Facilitate discussions with clients to establish the scope and objectives of events.
  7. Suggest suitable venues for events based on client needs after consulting with internal stakeholders. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  8. Evaluate the success of events and provide post-event feedback, offering suggestions for improving event management and outcomes.
  9. Manage invoicing and payment matters with clients to ensure timely settlements.
  10. Coordinate with landlord leasing and operations teams and local authorities for necessary submissions and approvals.
  11. Provide leadership, guidance, motivation, and support to the team. Develop processes and improve workflow and efficiency.
  12. Work closely with internal departments, such as Marketing, Operations, and Finance, for project planning and execution.


Job Requirements:

  1. At least 3 years working experience as an event project manager in event planning, project management or related roles.
  2. Good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  3. Able to work independently and effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Ability to understand client objectives and interpret them to develop an integrated event strategy (including good listening and questioning skills)
  5. Excellent organiser – experience in managing multiple events at any one time with the ability to multi-task and prioritise based upon the event requirements.
  6. Strong project management – able to juggle multiple tasks smoothly, organized, have good time management and be in control.
  7. Financial control - experience in producing events budgets and closely tracking events costs.
  8. Team player - happy to take instructions but also work independently and proactively when required.
  9. Confident with positive attitude, self-motivated and driven.
  10. Able to work long and irregular hours on site depending on the nature and duration of the events.
  11. Able to travel frequently between office and event sites to manage events.


Qualifications Requirements:

  1. Degree in Hospitality & Tourism management or Business Management.


Technical Competencies:

  • Knowledge of event industry trends, best practices, and vendor/supplier networks.
