Procurement Consultant

What you'll do:

As a Procurement Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and partnering with branches across Asia. Your key focus will be on consultation & advice, contracting, cost savings, risk monitoring and governance. You will be responsible for ensuring that procurement channels are 'right-sized' and scalable. You will also oversee the execution of procurement processes while ensuring compliance with Group policies and regional regulatory requirements. Your role will involve delivering quality service, value-adds and cost savings to business partners.

  • Guide and partner with branches in the onboarding, monitoring and disengagement of procurement arrangements in accordance with regulatory and Group Policy requirements
  • Optimise procurement processes, guidelines and procedures
  • Oversee execution of procurement processes and ensure compliance with Group policies and regional regulatory requirements
  • Deliver quality service, value-adds and cost savings to business partners
  • Support in dealings with suppliers
  • Ensure that new supplier arrangements are compliant with group policy and regional regulations
  • Maintain appropriate procurement records
  • Develop and implement robust sourcing and procurement strategies appropriate for the regions
  • Identify and implement opportunities for procurement savings

What you bring:

The ideal Procurement Consultant brings autonomous decision-making skills coupled with proficient stakeholder management abilities. Have extensive experience in financial services (banking), multiple category sourcing experience, exceptional organisational skills, minimum of 5+ years in a procurement function or in a supplier governance role. Familiarity with SAP Ariba & Archer Platforms is highly desirable.

  • Multiple category sourcing experience
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Minimum of 5+ years in a procurement function or in a supplier governance role
