The Assistant Clinical Trainer is a member of the College team. Your job is to equip staff with the knowledge, practical skills, and motivation to carry out their work activities effectively. You’ll take a practical and strategic approach to train, assessing the skills and knowledge and determining what training is needed to grow and retain these skills.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Training
· Conduct Basic, Intermediate, Advanced & Front-desk classes to dental assistants
· Educate dental assistants on protocols and best practices
· Demonstrating proper techniques for tasks such as chairside assistance, sterilization procedures, and patient care
· Conduct relevant training classes assigned by Management, Principal or HR
· To stand-in for colleague (trainer when they are on leave / MC to ensure no disruption of training classes
Development
· Providing guidance and mentorship to trainees to develop their skills and confidence
· Identify training and development needs within organisation through performance evaluation and regular check-in (on-site or off-site)
· Evaluating DA’s competency through written exams, practical assessments, and observation of clinical skills to determine their readiness for promotion
· Addressing skills deficits through tailored in-house training
· Monitor and review the progress of the trainees and provide regular checks in clinics
· Help managers to solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
· Promoting a positive learning environment that encourages collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement among dental assistant trainees
And any other HR or Training projects / initiatives and ad-hoc duties as assigned
REQUIREMENT
· Minimum experience of 3 years as a full-time dental assistant
· Competent dental assisting skills for most subspecialties
· Independent, versatile, strong work ethics, good interpersonal skills & people-oriented
· Proficient in Microsoft
· Able to multitask and manage time effectively
· Able to speak both English & Chinese
