Responsibilities:
- Attend to customers on motor insurance accident claims reporting
- Assess the liability and advise customers on the best method to pursue their motor insurance accident claims
- Liaise with respective insurance companies’ Motor Claims Department for the accurate and timely submission of accident reports and all matters relating to motor accident claims
- Attend to surveyors conducting surveys on accident cars related to motor insurance accident claims and provide clear cost estimates for surveyors’ negotiation and approval
- Ensure all accident cars are repaired as scheduled and recommended by surveyors
- Ensure Discharge Vouchers are duly approved and signed off by customers before releasing repaired accident cars
- Follow–up with customers and insurance companies for payment of Excess on own damage claims and repair costs on third-party claims
- Manage and monitor aging reports to update management on the status of difficult cases on loss of use or settlements issues, etc.
- Administer documentation for costs, claims, and vehicle history files
- Ensure all customer issues or complaints reported are resolved and addressed promptly to ensure customer satisfaction
- Collect customer feedback for continuous improvement in service level
- As and when required, attend to all daily intakes of customers’ cars for repair and servicing professionally and quickly diagnose and provide professional advice for appropriate repairs or servicing or technical assistance
- Perform other duties as assigned by the After-sales Manager
Requirements:
- Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level or NITEC / Diploma in Automotive Technology or equivalent
- Preferably possess a Certificate in Motor Insurance
- Minimum 2 years of related working experience in vehicle accident claims
- Good technical knowledge of car components and knowledge of repair estimates preferred
- Possess a valid Class 3 driving licence
- Customer service oriented, proactive, and independent with a positive working attitude
- Meticulous with a flair for details, multi-task and highly committed
- Able to prioritise, articulate issues, problem identification, evaluation, and provide resolution
- Team player with self–discipline and willing-to-learn qualities
- Strong administrative and coordination qualities
- Good interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to build strong client relationship
- PC literate and proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Available immediately or within short notice would be an added advantage
