The incumbent is responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders on issues related with LRT Signalling System. (OCC/Equipment Rooms/Wayside/Onboard). He/she will be coordinatinating with client, PTO and Signalling Engineers working in Japan and will be responsibile for supervision of site test engineers coming from Japanese supplier, final design to be agreed with client, installation, testing and commissioning of LRT signalling system and troubleshooting and technical support for LRT signalling system during T&C, DLP and After Sales.
Job responsibility
Engineering
• Coordinate with various stakeholders for design works associated with LRT signalling system
• Finalize the acceptance of design document including preparation, review and explain to client the specification for LRT signalling subsystems.
• Prepare and review testing & commissioning / installation procedures for LRT signalling subsystems
• Lead engineer for signalling system troubleshooting, rectification, testing.
Management
• Manage and coordinate project works as assigned by project manager
• Coordinate with management, team members, vendors (including Japanese supplier), contractors and client representatives.
• Update and report to Consortium Partner in Japan
• Should be conversant with LRT Automatic Vehicle Protection (AVP), Vehicle Detection (VD), Computer-Based Interlocking (CBI), Automatic Vehicle Operation (AVO), Automatic Vehicle Supervision (AVS), Position Detection Ground Coil (PDGCs), Station Loop Coil (SLCs), Station Device Box (SD) and Wayside signaling equipment, various communication and logging systems and associated software.
• Should be conversant with LTA’s regulations
Requirements
• Degree in electrical/electronics/telecommunication
• Minimum 5 years’ experience for MRT/LRT and 5 years’ experience in Signalling system
• Overseas job site experience in MRT/LRT Signalling system
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in supervision of Japanese supplier
• Professional knowledge of LRT Signalling System Logic & Interface software and GUI software
• Native level of Japanese writing and speaking to liaise with Japan counterparts (JLPT N1) is a must as liaising with Japanese internal counterparts and external suppliers is necessary.
• Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with multiple stakeholders including superiors, colleagues, contracted staff and individuals both inside and outside the organization
