Roles & Responsibilities
This position will be given the primary responsibility to lead the Academic Administration Department to ensure the smooth functioning of the academic operations in the following areas:
- Develop, implement and review policies, procedures, and guidelines for academic administration.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the academic administration department.
- Establish and enforce student conduct and attendance policies; monitor and address attendance; implement timely intervention measures to drive good overall conduct and attendance
- Lead the Course Planning process including academic scheduling and resources preparation, academic and support staff deployment and dissemination of relevant information to students.
- Support the Academic Department in the student learning process to ensure students achieve the desired outcomes, provide periodic progress reports, and monitor student learning.
- Support the Academic Department in the student assessment process.
- Oversee the daily operations of the department, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Address student inquiries and issues related to academic administration.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare reports and documentation for accreditation bodies and regulatory agencies.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of academic data.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date academic and student records.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance academic operations.
Requirements:
- Degree Holder with at least 3 years of relevant experience in education sector
- In-depth understanding of higher education systems, policies, and procedures.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Relevant working experience such as having worked in a Private Educational Institution (PEI) and under the CPE EduTrust and ERF framework regulations will be an advantage.
- Good communications and interpersonal skills
- Able to converse well in English
- Excellent process and data management skills.
