We are currently working with a leading IT Consultancy client, looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Act as an innovative and hands-on DevOps engineer, balancing technology and strategic platform considerations.
- Oversee the creation, development and enhancement of internal engineering productivity tools and environments.
- Implement and support DevOps architecture and operations, while planning and designing both private and public cloud deployments.
- Ensure the technical environments are future-proof, with high levels of automation, availability, scalability, and resilience.
- Automate monitoring to effectively detect, predict, and prevent issues in the environment and codebase.
- Manage processes, automation, best practices, and documentation.
- Develop and operate continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Conduct research into software issues and products as needed.
- Engage in hands-on coding and mentoring, often in a pair programming setting.
- Collaborate within highly interactive teams to build quality environments.
- Prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced global environment.
- Utilize the latest tools and techniques.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, Communications, or related disciplines.
- Possess knowledge of various open-source technologies and configurations.
- Broad knowledge across operating systems, networking, distributed computing, and cloud computing.
- Experience in cloud computing deployment and management, particularly with AWS.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in DevOps automation, containerization, and orchestration using tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and Docker.
- Familiarity with Agile project methodologies.
- Strong understanding of networking principles.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience with highly scalable distributed systems.
- Proficient scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, and JavaScript.
