Report to : Strategy Director

Your Role

· To work alongside Senior Strategy team members to develop behaviour change communications strategies in the social impact and international development sectors, across the Indo-Pacific.

· To use and champion multiple sources of research, best practices and critical thinking to assist diverse client organisations in the pursuit of achieving their objectives.

· To collaborate with Research, Creative, Media, and Account Management teams to deliver holistic communications solutions.

· To develop reports and presentations on various topics of interest to the agency, including cultural trends, behaviour change and geopolitics.

Main Accountabilities

· Develop communications strategies, creative briefs, and messaging frameworks, with mentorship from Senior Strategy team.

· Read widely on relevant topics and conduct desktop research to inform strategic development.

· Lead and participate in creative briefings and brainstorms.

· Explore best practices in advertising, branding, innovation and behaviour change as well as discover learnings from fields such as psychology, social sciences, and semiotics to shape strategy and creative ideas.

· Grow an intimate understanding of the client problem set and regions of interest, including social, cultural, political, and economic aspects.

· Provide support to wider strategy team in developing presentations and workshops.

· Work with research team to shape research methodologies and measurement frameworks.

· Work with media team to develop touchpoint strategies and dissemination plans.

· Work with creative and production team to spur and build on creative ideas, ensuring ideas are strategically sound.

· Work with account management team to shape strategic output and address client expectations.

· Share knowledge and experience in formal and informal ways to grow collective knowledge of the agency.

· Be prepared to assist outside the stated core responsibilities and be proactive in supporting a small, dynamic project team dealing with daily challenges.

· Be an ambassador for M&C Saatchi World Services.

Knowledge and Expertise

· Supporting or leading strategy development

· Developing articulate and clear reports or presentations

· Conducting research and/or informing shaping of research methodologies and measurement

· Sharing creative territories and thought-starters

· Interest in geopolitics, international relations and social issues

Core Skills and experience:

· 1 – 3 years of experience in branding or communications strategy.

· Knowledge of fundamental techniques, tools, and practices of a brand and communications strategist.

· Ability to analyse and process large volumes of data and insights from multiple sources.

· Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and simply.

· Ability to work collaboratively with various disciplines across the agency.

· Ability to understand and appreciate nuances of diverse countries, cultures and

communities.

· Excellent oral and written communications skills (English).

· Proficient in all components of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).

Desirable:

· Experience working on social impact or behaviour change campaigns (e.g. with Governments or international development sector)

· Knowledge of Asian languages and cultural understanding.

· Understanding of politics/geo-politics, conflict, peacekeeping and emerging issues such as disinformation.
