Responsibilities
- Provide legal support to the Company’s Legal and Compliance team on areas such as technology and media, IP, data protection (PDPA, GDPR etc.), labour and corporate issues;
- Review, advise on, draft and front negotiations (if necessary) on commercial agreements, including but not limited to tender documents, service agreements and NDAs;
- Assist in implementing and streamlining legal policies/workflow initiatives that support the overall corporate objectives;
- Ensure compliance with the internal controls, statutory regulations, and other corporate formalities;
- Assist in implementing compliance programs;
- Advise on legal disputes;
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations and provide updates to the Company and/or the Legal and Compliance team in the event of any such changes;
- Assist in various KYC- and Compliance-related matters;
- Carry out staff briefings and training sessions; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A Singapore-qualified lawyer with 1-2 years of post-qualification experience. Newly called lawyers are also invited to apply.
- A proactive team player and a self-motivated individual with leadership capabilities, possessing high professional ethics, strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
- A savvy, creative and confident negotiator who is a good value-add partner to the sales team.
- Good command of written and spoken English. Strong legal knowledge with good business judgement.
- Pleasant personality.
