The Business Development Executive is responsible for developing, monitoring and managing the assigned portfolio of brands and merchants for B2B customers, as well as achieving margin and targets through establish strong key account relationships with a focus on supporting the partners in developing and attaining their business goals with the platform. Through his / her engagement with customer enquiries and feedback, he / she is responsible for the management of portfolio pricing competitiveness, product assortment, stock availability, retail buys of brands, and negotiation of promotion deals to support customer acquisition and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and monitor sales strategy for assigned product category ensuring brand integrity and category profitability.
- Actively approach targeted business clients (telephone, email, social networks, events etc.)
- Actively engage customer placement order, fulfilment order, providing solutions, gathering feedback.
- Create a good relationship with all store managers within Superstore outlets.
- Identify the formulation of sales strategy and plans; Collaborate with market development to conduct product rationalization to eliminate unprofitable items from product category.
- Develop capabilities and communicate unique selling proposition based on client needs; negotiate terms of sales with major and/or key clients.
- Deliver monthly and annual sales target, including management of sales cycle, conversion metrics and sales pipeline.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management, preferably in the B2B sector.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
