Job Overview
The Accounts Manager oversees all financial aspects of the Company, leads the Accounts department and manages the day-to-day financial operations. This individual will act as a business partner to the Director to establish strategies across the Company and provide oversight in corporate governance and internal controls. In addition, this individual provides timely and actionable financial information and guidance to the Director to optimize outcomes and ensure financial commitments are met.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform financial management duties including group accounts consolidation, generating financial data, compiling and submitting financial reports, cashflow forecasting (i.e. ensure adequate funds to support operations and optimize liquidity), leading the annual audit exercise, overseeing inventory management and assessing company’s financial health.
- Oversee the development of the Accounts department including budgeting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures (i.e. account receivable, account payable, inventory, credit control and cash flow management).
- Provide technical leadership for all accounting and financial management matters including but not limited to supervising the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitoring and enforcing statutory compliance (i.e. tax regulations, audit and international accounting standards).
- Ensure timely regulatory filings on matters including, but not limited to, tax, financial, foreign exchange regulatory filings, bank covenants amongst others.
- Advise colleagues and Director on decisions related to the company’s finances and ensure everyone complies with financial governance and procedures.
- Liaising with external auditors and tax agents.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Director.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent or a qualified CA and/or ACCA.
- Minimum 5 years of extensive and relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in managing a team in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Meticulous with good analytical skills and high level of confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated honesty, strong work ethics and personal integrity in all areas.
- Highly proactive, able to work independently, execute and follow-through to deliver solutions to the management.
- Strong knowledge of statutory, legal, accounting, audit and local taxation requirements.
- Ideally with exposure in medical aesthetics industry.
- Prior experience in group consolidation and financial reporting is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and accounting software (i.e. MYOB, XERO).
