Business Development Manager

Description

We’re expanding and are actively looking for an experienced and highly motivated talent to join our Revenue team. You’ll be working alongside Partnership, Marketing and Customer Success team to generate sales leads in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.


Responsibilities

  • Build business development pipeline by proactively identifying opportunities and engaging with key prospects
  • Plan and execute a territory plan with clear account prioritisation
  • Prospect into new accounts and broaden coverage of existing accounts to uncover more opportunities and increase wallet share.
  • Map customer organisations and maintain relationships with C-level, directors and key personnel.
  • Uncover customers’ pressures, challenges and priorities to effectively position our solutions to meet business objectives
  • Lead tender submissions, run pricing and tender/proposal reviews with senior management to ensure alignment to the customer requirements
  • Continually gather feedback from customers and understand demand trends in order to shape the company’s offerings.


Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience
  • Impressive track record in B2B or B2G sales, with key established connections in the government, mid-market and/or enterprise sectors
  • Experience in public cloud business development or technical sales experience in developing ICT technologies, cloud native solution
  • Knowledge of identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale IT and public cloud technology deals
  • Knowledge of positioning and selling cloud and big data technology in new customers and new market segments
  • Knowledge and a network in the cloud infrastructure and/or systems integrator space is a plus
  • Demonstratable history of successfully developing and maintaining senior client relationships
  • Demonstrable success in hunting for opportunities and seeing through deals from end-to-end
  • Strong negotiator with sharp questioning and listening skills
  • A highly self-motivated and independent worker
  • Team player with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
