Job Description / Responsibilities
- Provide advice and consultation to maintain a safe working environment in compliance with environmental safety regulations, standards and practices.
- Attend the site safety audit conducted by Authority and Client’s representative- HDB
- Conducts job hazard analysis to determine safe working practices and engineering controls.
- Implementation of workplace safety, health and environment programs, effective safety management system, preventive measures as well as risk assessment to minimize accidents at the assigned workplace/site
- Compile all safety record and reports, and ensure proper documentation of site records for all safety related matters
- Enforcement of safety standards in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act
- Ensure strict compliance of procedures in statutory workplace, safety, health & environment requirements at sites and required premises
- Preparation and/or submission of safety reports and necessary audits
- Assist the company in safety related certifications and awareness such as safety audits, meetings, and execution of safety programmes
- Perform construction site safety, inspection of site to ensure all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance are in proper working condition and do not pose any hazard
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned from time to time
Requirements
- Candidates must process at least Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering / Building & Construction or its equivalent.
- Registered as a Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for at least 3 years. Candidates with ECO & ECMO license will have an added advantage.
- Experience in 3 - 4years in HDB projects, demolition works and others, preferably in Construction sector
- Experienced in ISO related documentation and audits
