Acting as the Second line of defence performing independent Operational Risk Management function with the main responsibilities as below:
1. Prepare Branch-level Operational Risk Management (“ORM”) Manual supporting implementation of ORM framework.
2. Lead and implement Branch-specific Risk and Control Self Assessment (“RCSA”) process, review and analyses the results of periodic RCSA exercise. Conduct periodic compliance testing on RCSA.
3. Lead and implement Branch-specific KRI establishment and monitoring process, monitoring and investigating the breaches and conduct analysis on the trends.
4. Investigate and report operational risk events (both with and without financial losses) and follow up on the implementation of remedial actions.
5. Participate in assessing the readiness of new initiatives from operational risk perspective.
6. Enhance Branch’s Operational Risk Appetite
7. Prepare operational risk management report, identify and report top and emerging non-financial risks to Branch’s Senior Management; and propose the relevant actions plans to enhance Branch’s readiness to such risks.
8. Promote operational risk awareness within the Branch through a combination of various methods, such as classroom training, email sharing of regulatory developments, etc.
9. Lead / Collate / Coordinate with relevant teams on other tasks relating to operational risk management, including but not limited to, regulatory requirements, such as Business Continuity Planning and Management, Outsourcing, etc.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree.
2. 3 to 6 years of relevant experience from banks or accounting firms.
3. Hands on in setting up of risk controls and able to work independently
This is a 1 Year contract role with the possibility for extension or conversion to Permanent role.
