Responsibilities
- Attends major functions (i.e., trade shows and promotional events) that deal specifically with his/her market areas.
- Establishes and maintains files on major activ e accounts within his/her market areas
- Promotes and produced sales leads for other Millenium & Copthorne hotels.
- Plans sales trips to major market areas.
- Provides feedback to the Senior Sales Managers/ Director of Sales on changing marketing conditions, including trends in the competition, as a result of direct sales solicitation, telephone and direct mail, in his/her market areas.
- Responsible to monitor an assigned competitor/s and provide regular feedback.
- Arrange familiarization/ sites inspections trips to hotel by major clients.
- Disseminates sales related information to other departments as appropriate.
- Maintains a high level of exposure for the hotel in major market areas through direct sales solicitation, telephone, fax, contacts written communications.
- Attends all pre/post-conference meetings, as required, arranged by the Meeting Services department.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintains the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and attitude towards all hotel guests, clients, staff and employees.
- Maintains professional business confidentiality.
- Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
Candidates with more years of experience may be considered for the senior managerial position.
- At least 3 years management experience with international hotel chain particularly in Sales & Marketing/Catering Dept.
- Minimum Certificate / Diploma in Sales & Marketing
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Good command of local dialects, Mandarin/Malay language
- Knowledge with Microsoft Office.
- Able to thrive in a highly competitive environment.
- Able to manage large and diverse staff in a localised setting.
- Possess essential and decisive leadership traits and be able to impart knowledge to junior employees.
- Demonstrate a strong customer service mindset.
- Well groomed, presentable and able to articulate ideas well.
