The role holder is responsible for overseeing the teachers in the level and for curriculum, lessons and manpower planning in all the levels focussing on students coming from other curriculum – Chinese nationality
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership
- Supports the established vision for the school.
- Collaborates with the Principal and academic supervisors in designing, implementing, supervising and evaluating the Chinese Studies program for the campus
- Demonstrates knowledge of curriculum and instructional strategies and research bearing on the instructional practice of the campus.
- Ensures the campus improvement plan is implemented to meet the needs of the campus.
- Promotes high expectations for staff and students.
Functional
- Monitors available Chinese Studies assessment data to ensure student learning is achieved
- Guides assigned staff in the planning and implementation of professional development that increases effectiveness and improves Chinese Studies outcomes
- Monitors and reviews campus test data and uses findings to drive future development and planning of the improvement of the Chinese Studies program
Interaction
Student Management:
- Resolves parent/student issues and concerns in a timely manner.
- Facilitates activities and events to recognize students’ efforts and accomplishments.
- Supervises extra-curricular activities as directed by the Principal.
Management of Administrative, Fiscal and/or Facilities Functions:
- Assists Principal in researching, recommending, implementing and administering campus policies and procedures.
- Submits reports promptly and accurately.
- Ensures proper maintenance of student records.
- Participates in special program meetings as requested by Principal.
- Coordinates resource and materials requests for the students.
- Coordinates community and school events
People Focus
- Collaborates proactively with Human Resource to continuously increase competency within the function to meet future organization’s needs through the development and recruitment of talent
- Assists in the recruitment, selection, orientation, and training of teachers
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor / Master Degree
Experience: 5 - 10 years
Working Days: 5 days per week
