The Job
Lead and oversee the Ready Mixed Concrete Terminal operations by developing policies and processes to support the key activities. The RMC terminal will consist of 13 tenants involved with importation, storage and delivery of aggregates, and the production of RMC Gate operations:
- Sampling of trucks
- Sludge treatment and return aggregates function
- Overnight parking monitoring
- Cleanliness and pollution control
- Authority engagement – BCA, NEA, LTA and JTC
- Tenant damages/accidents and reporting
- Technical services/ conveyors at bunkers
- Responsible to ensure business continuity and risk mitigation plans are in-place and constantly trial with tenants, TS, FM and stevedore companies.
Potential key operational issues to track:
- Gate system goes down
- Sludge treatment equipment fails and the conveying system to tenants’ stops.
- Implement best-in-class practices to ensure terminal maintains excellent WSH practices, cleanliness and pollution control.
- Implement fortnightly meetings with TS, WSH, FM/Term contractors, and tenants to track and close operational issues.
- Adopt and implement workplace safety and health (WSH) standards across the RMC terminal's various operations.
- Engage tenants on their related operational activities within RMC terminal to ensure all practices are lawful and ethical
- Mitigate and resolve with JP internal vendors all WSH and pollution related escalations between customers, and their related business activities within JP.
Other Duties:
- Fortnightly and monthly report with business unit managers
- Align with business unit to prepare and update reports on both operational and financial matrix for RMC operations.
- To facilitate reports on performance, as and when required, for either quarterly or monthly management reporting.
- Develop plans to improve customer satisfaction and review/ propose areas for improvement
- Develop alternatives to enhance standard operational policies, and procedures. Lead ERM activities for BU with relevant division heads.
- Develop managers and executives within BU to grow in experience and develop skillsets, in-line with HR plans.
- Ideation and execution on improving operational processes and systems.
Job Requirement
- Degree in logistics or supply chain management, project or facility management
- Min 7yrs experience.
