Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Social Work Associate to join our team. This role involves conducting client intakes, facilitating mandated programs, and coordinating client appointments. Additionally, the Social Work Associate will handle general administrative duties for our programs and centre, manage publicity for our initiatives, oversee social media presence, and assist with the coordination of our new site. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting our community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct intake of new clients, assessing their needs and ensuring they are directed to the appropriate services.
2. Facilitate mandated programs, ensuring they are delivered effectively and meet established guidelines.
3. Coordinate client appointments, managing schedules and ensuring timely follow-ups.
4. Perform general administrative duties for the programs and centre, including maintaining records and preparing reports.
5. Publicize programs through various channels to ensure maximum reach and engagement.
6. Manage social media accounts, creating and curating content to promote programs and events (if applicable).
7. Assist with the coordination and setup of the new site, ensuring a smooth transition and efficient operation.
Job Requirements:
1. Diploma in Social Work or a related discipline.
2. 1 -2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
3. Strong organizational and communication skills.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Proficiency in social media management and general administrative tasks.
6. Passion for community service and supporting individuals in need.
