Job Description
- The Prime Brokerage Trader will support our prime brokerage execution business.
- Providing trading access to local, regional and global equity markets across a broad spectrum of clients.
- Performing execution services in an efficient and compliant manner with very high attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of market drivers and conditions coupled with the confidence to suggest best execution strategies.
- Working understanding of trading in Equities, Futures & Options and FX.
- Ability to engage and work with external execution partners, custodians, financing relationships and stock lending counterparts.
- An understanding of the Prime client workflow from order handling, stock loan management to operational support.
- Ongoing monitoring and maintenance of client orders to ensure trade executions are accurate and timely.
- Pro-active engagement and management of key client relationships and portfolios.
- Strong understanding of client needs and the ability to convey relevant market intelligence.
- Comprehensive understanding of local regulatory requirements and microstructure.
- Sound risk management foundation and the ability to make fast decisions and perform under pressure.
- Work with stakeholders to identify efficiencies and develop new opportunities.
- Problem solving and post trade co-ordination with support functions.
- Working closely with its vendors and counterparts to lead and coordinate changes and enhancements to the offering.
- Work closely with the Sales, Marketing and Operations in order to cover the client’s requirement.
- Understanding of Taiwan, Korean, China, Hong Kong markets is essential.
- Knowledge of Equity Swaps, Contracts for Difference, Stock Borrow Loans, Global Futures, and Treasury Bond Futures is essential.
- Experienced in ISDA / CSA /MCA agreement executions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7 to 10 years relevant experience (i.e. prime services, dealing, trading)
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to interface with internal and external operation groups
