Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Manager, you will play a vital role in driving volunteer management and meeting the organization’s needs through the recruitment, placement and retention of volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all donor and volunteer information is captured, stored and managed in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to develop partnerships and assess volunteering needs
- Organise communications internally and externally for fundraising and volunteering programmes
- Implement and provide support in the development of communication materials for volunteers
- Work with multiple agencies across different sectors in order to establish good working relationships to influence decisions about volunteering
- Implement volunteer management system including recruitment, training, deployment, reward, retention and recognition
- Conceptualise, develop and implement fundraising, volunteer programmes and profile-raising events to attract new volunteers
- Enhance and expand current volunteer programmes, assess new areas of development to meet organisation goals and address beneficiaries needs for new volunteer programmes
- Identify new trends in the volunteering landscape and utilise platforms to attract skills-based volunteering to increase organisation’s capacity.
- Manage budget and resources for volunteer management
- Conceptualize, develop & execute merchandizing strategy to support fundraising efforts
- Maintain proper records and monthly reporting of volunteer management
- Provide administrative support for events (including registration, tracking of expenditure reports etc).
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in the relevant discipline
- 3-5 years experience of volunteer management
Competencies
- Good interpersonal and people management skills to work with people from diverse background (i.e. volunteers and colleagues)
- Good collaborative and stakeholder management skills to work across disciplines and sectors (i.e. SSAs, community stakeholders, corporate partners, government agencies)
- Ability to manage a team or work independently
