About the Client: They are a leading International professional services firm providing top-tier accounting and advisory services to corporate clients across the region. As part of their ongoing business expansion, they are establishing a new ESG Advisory practice to better serve our clients' sustainability and governance needs. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to spearhead this initiative in Singapore.
Position Overview: The Head of ESG Advisory will be responsible for driving the growth and development of our ESG advisory business in Singapore. This is a pivotal role focusing on business development, client acquisition, and service delivery. The successful candidate will lead a team of ESG professionals, ensuring the highest standards of advisory services are provided to our clients. This role reports directly to the Partner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities with local SMEs and MMEs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
Develop and execute strategic plans to win new accounts and expand the ESG advisory business.
- Client Engagement: Lead the team in delivering comprehensive ESG advisory services to clients.
Oversee project execution, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of services.
Provide expert guidance on ESG strategies, ESG reporting, and ESG compliance.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing ESG advisory team.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
Manage team performance and professional development.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the ESG advisory business plan.
Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in ESG.
Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the firm.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in ESG advisory or related fields, with a proven track record in business development.
- Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, regulations, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in Mandarin as you will be expected to service Mandarin speaking clients in Mainland China
- Travel up to 20% within Asia including China
