Challenges
- Work closely with principal investigator, collaborator and other research support staff to develop research projects and grant proposal.
- Assist with manuscript preparation for submission to journals through literature review, data analysis, and drafting of manuscripts.
- Prepare research grant applications under the direction of researchers, including performing necessary literature review, advising on study design, and coordinating inputs from research collaborators.
- Liaise with collaborators to bridge clinical and scientific information in order to integrate both into new and ongoing projects.
- Contribute to knowledge generation, knowledge exchange and knowledge transfer activities.
Requirements
- PhD or Masters (Minimum Requirement) degree in Life Science or equivalent related to sciences.
- Good knowledge in Epidemiology and/or Ophthalmology would be preferred
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in academic or clinical research projects.
- Prior publication track records in good scientific journals would be advantageous.
- Good knowledge in statistical and image analysis.
- Proficient in at least one statistical software package (e.g. SPSS, Stata, R).
- Experienced in grant administration and grant writing.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficient in data and biological sample management.
- Good written and oral English communication skills.
