Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a surgical setting, particularly in dermatology and laser procedures. This role involves working closely with our dermatologists and other medical professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare patients for surgical procedures, including providing information about the procedure.
• Assist dermatologists during surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available.
• Assist in aesthetic procedures such as lasers and injectables
• Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Provide post-operative care and instructions to patients, including wound care and follow-up appointments.
• Educate patients on pre and post-operative care and answer any questions they may have.
• Stock taking and inventory management
• Other ad hoc admin duties and to cross cover other team members when needed
Qualifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in dermatology or a related field.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterilization techniques, and infection control.
• Proficiency in assisting with laser treatments and dermatological procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
