One of the Chemical leader, which is a MNC has an opening for a Production Planner to manage their production plan & operations requirements at the Singapore plant. To best utilization of production facilities to enable the right product being available for customers requirement.
- Search and translate information from across the organization to build a production plan to meet business objective.
- Prepare requirement plans for plant to ensure the plant is operating in line with company’s planned requirements and availability.
- Conclude and provide direct coordination/liaison with internal and external suppliers on forecasts requirements needs and PO placements.
- Handle the import and/or export of products to support the demand plan activities.
- Understand and knowledge of short term capacity availability and constraints. Work with internal teams to manage order prioritization and balance fulfilment for plants’ inbound materials. In times of constraints, assess overall availability within Asia/global to re-balance supply through liaising with supply planning specialist, supply planning manager, product manager and region logistics.
- Ensure inventory levels are within target ranges for key materials and key locations. This is to ensure to have adequate material to maintain supply without increasing working capital costs within acceptable level.
- Take action to changes in plan in a timely manner. Besides to updating material movement requirements, this should also include highlighting likely impact of these changes to the supply planning manager.
Requirement:
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain or Chemical Engineering preferred
- SAP competency in materials managements and supply planning typically acquired with 1 yr or more years of experience
- Good knowledge of supply chain structures and procedures, global supply network interactions and inventory management protocols
- Ability to communicate technical planning details to non-technical colleagues
- Effective follow up skills with attention to details
