Role and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate current insurance policies and recommend additional coverage when necessary.
- Review policy wordings and identify issues.
- Ensure that contract terms and conditions align with existing insurance coverage.
- Propose amendments to address contractual liabilities.
- File and notify claims to brokers/underwriters promptly.
- Work closely with brokers, loss adjusters, and insurers to expedite claims recovery.
- Identify loss trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide monthly reports on claim trends and incident frequency.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Business, or Insurance from a recognized university.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the insurance industry.
- Familiarity with common shipping industry insurance policies (e.g., professional indemnity, Hull and Machinery, marine cargo).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
