Your Internship: Gain hands-on experience in dairy business data consolidation and management reporting activities across Southern Asia, working closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
Your Team: You will report to the Southern Asia Business Controlling Manager in the Finance team and be part of a multi-functional HQ based in Singapore. You might be expected to coordinate with colleagues in at least 8 different markets.
Your Internship Responsibilities:
Data Management (80%)
- Lead the extraction, consolidation and reporting of distributor sell-out data across multiple regions, including data cleaning of excel sheets with different data fields
- Perform detailed data mapping of sell-out to ensure accuracy and consistency, considering variations in product codes, customer information and brand classifications
- Regularly maintain and update databases to reflect the latest sell-out information, including sales volumes and revenue figures
Data Analysis & Dashboard Development (20%)
- Conduct thorough data analysis on sell-out data to derive actionable insights and trends
- Evaluate the ROI of marketing activations and budgets in import markets by analyzing sell-out data alongside promotional activities, marketing campaigns, trade activations
Commercial Analysis (Only depending on individual’s expertise)
- Support commercial analysis efforts by evaluating product margins to optimize revenue generation
- Collaborate with regional colleagues to conduct price simulation exercises based on historical sell-out data and market trends
- Develop and maintain financial models to simulate different pricing scenarios and assess their impact on P&L
- Analyze the impact of potential price changes on sales volume, revenue and profitability
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
Our Ideal Profile and Role Requirements:
- Able to commit to at least a 6-months internship
- Open to Diploma/University students or fresh graduates from Polytechnic/University with Finance, Business, Analytics, Economics, or related majors that utilize Excel data management
- Interest in FMCG & Food industry
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel with a logical and analytical mindset
- Professional communication & interpersonal skills
- Detailed-oriented with a passion for data-driven decision making
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
