Roles and responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and carry out general servicing & repair of hearing aids and earmolds.
- Responsible for production of earmolds and custom-made hearing aids
- Scanning of ear impressions.
- Work closely with regional technical counterpart on product quality issues and control, maintenance, and processes.
- Support new product testing and quality check, update of part numbers and coordinate with technical trainers for product training.
- Work with respective stakeholders on repairs, technical and logistics concerns.
- Develop work instructions and standard operating procedure for new and existing lab equipment.
- Handle phone calls from customers on new orders and repairs.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment through daily housekeeping inspections and adherence to lab safety practices.
- Ensure that all Laboratory equipment is well-maintained and in good working condition.
- Conduct lab analysis/retest, generate report and follow up on customers’ feedback.
- Actively takes part in operational reviews and continuously improve the quality system, safety & operational efficiency in the lab.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing and updating of repairs and new orders via in-house system.
- Ensure that all consumables are sufficient for daily operations.
- Undertake other job functions as and when assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- ITE / NITEC / Diploma in Electronics Engineering or its equivalent
- Experience in producing of custom moulds (e.g. hearing aids, earmoulds, dentures), soldering and repair of similar products is an added advantage.
- On-the-job training will be provided
- Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams.
- Good communication skills
- Innovative and enthusiastic in solving issues.
- Initiative and able to work independently.
- Team player with a Can-do attitude
- Computer skills – MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
