SUMMARY
As a Compliance Executive, you are responsible for ensuring the portfolio of 3,000 – 5,000 clients adhere to government regulations and ethical standards. Along with assessing financial risk and creating a game plan to handle those potential issues, you provide regular reports to your immediate superior on the effectiveness of the compliance measures. You are required to comply with internal compliance policies and assist to develop, implement, maintain, and supporting compliance programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Advise onboarding team requirements in accordance with company AML/KYC standards and regulatory requirements, and partner with the Onboarding team to meet the requirements.
- Review and corroborate KYC information submitted by Relationship Manager, perform an independent review, and risk rate customers in accordance with regulatory requirements as well as Group AML/CFT policy and procedures.
- Follow up with Relationship Managers and other stakeholders on KYC-related matters and for escalated/prioritized cases.
- Assess and ensure the relevance and completeness of KYC information supplied by the Onboarding team and on existing clients and perform appropriate due diligence checks and information searches to comply with standards of client onboarding.
- Highlight deficiencies, suspicious AML, or other non-compliance issues to relevant parties and management.
ESSENTIAL QUALITIES
- At least a Diploma in Business, Accountancy, Finance or a related field
- In-depth understanding of Companies Act Cap 50 and ACRA Regulations
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
- Ability to strive in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment requiring a high degree of flexibility whilst retaining business discipline
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and informationAbility to
