FF&E Interior Designer
Job summary:
The FF&E Interior Designer will work closely with the Project Director and design team and be responsible for all design phases from concept development to visualisation, documentation and site implementation.
Job description:
· Responsible for all design phases from concept to site supervision
· Work closely with the Project lead, design and FF&E team
· Coordinate with operator, relevant consultants and contractors during all project stages
· Producing or leading FF&E specifications – excellent and up to date supplier knowledge
· Producing client design presentation packages, with a proven track record in client facing skills
· Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet given deadlines
· Project management experience from concept to delivery
· Attend site meetings and factory inspections to check compliance to design and assist in providing solutions to site issues
· Team management and leadership, mentor junior team members
Requirements:
· Degree/Diploma in Architecture or Interior Design or equivalent
· Minimum of 5 years experience designing FF&E for interiors of hotels
· Experience in handling hospitality and residential projects in all design phases from concept to site implementation
· Experience in designing for various hotel brands and understanding the specific needs required by operators.
· Experience in selection of furniture, accessories, lighting, ironmongery and sanitary wares are mandatory
· Strong communication skills
· Thorough understanding of AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop and Indesign
· Knowledge of Sketchup will be a plus
· Proficient in CAD standards and organization of drawing packages
· Strong organisational skills
· Able to understand drawings and design
· Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
· Reliable to work independently
· Team player with a positive attitude
