Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct incoming inspection and type testing for cables and accessories to validate product quality conformance, ensuring updates in SAP.
- Operate laboratory test equipment for cable testing and conduct inspections on accessories.
- Understand international cable testing standards and inspection requirements, ensuring compliance with internal ISO procedures. Prepare detailed test specifications and inspection requirements for suppliers.
- Prepare and issue customer test reports, certificates, and Certificates of Conformance (COC).
- Track supplier quality through incoming inspections or in response to customer complaints, updating SAP and releasing inspected lots based on defined usage decisions.
- Generate supplier Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and monitor corrective actions, ensuring effective closure by coordinating with suppliers.
- Collaborate with relevant departments and suppliers to effectively close CARs arising from customer complaints or internal findings (Z2 & Z8).
- Maintain inspection records in SAP, determine skip lot criteria, and establish inspection requirements within the SAP system.
- Assist with customer technical inquiries, including handling customer letters and compliance issues such as RoHS, REACH, and CE.
- Understand and adhere to relevant ISO procedures, work instructions, and corporate directives.
- Support other daily activities within the QA department as assigned by superiors.
- Contribute to achieving company, departmental, and personal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through diligence, duty of care, and personal accountability for quality assurance in all tasks.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electronics/Electrical) or equivalent field.
- At least 2 years of experience in electrical/electronic product testing and qualification.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) standards is advantageous.
- Proficiency in operating lab equipment such as calipers, visual scopes, resistance checkers, and high voltage testers.
- Prior experience with SAP system and familiarity with cable product testing is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Effective customer handling skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proactive in addressing current issues independently.
- Self-confident with a willingness to contribute opinions and expertise in discussions.
- Capable of anticipating potential problems and taking proactive actions to mitigate risks.
- Able to provide support to colleagues within the department and work collaboratively to achieve departmental goals and targets.
