Smallwood is an International Design firm headquartered in Atlanta, USA which is complemented by a thriving Design office in Singapore. Within this office, our firm contains a seasoned group of design professionals providing innovative and leading design services for hospitality, residential, office and master planning projects.
We are looking to grow our core design team by the addition of young and keen Architectural Design staff who are willing to work hard, listen and learn and ultimately contribute across the board in our office. Our office has a specific emphasis on Hospitality, so we are a good fit for any young potential designer wishing to get into the Hospitality market and learn design on the international stage. From our Singapore office we work Internationally, including markets in Southeast Asia, India, The Middle East, and Africa.
Job Responsibilities in a Leading Role:
· Lead the Design of projects, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems.
· Produces conceptual plans and presentation packages.
· Ability to produces design in Sketch-up 3D will be an advantage and coordinate production of final renderings.
· Utilizes AutoCAD (Revit skill will be an advantage) to prepare project designs for plans, elevations, and sections.
· Working with the Principal(s) or Associate(s), shall direct, supervise, and check activities of fellow Team Members engaged in preparing design write-ups, drawings and specification documents for Conceptual Design Phase, Schematic Design Phase, Design Development Phase and Construction Documentation Phase of a project.
· Works in tandem with highly collaborative multi-discipline design teams.
Qualifications / Skills:
· Experience in Hospitality design will have added advantage.

Education and Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture
· 10 years of architectural design experience
· Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems
· Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office suite is required.
