What The Role Is About

As part of Generation Singapore, the Recruitment Specialist will join a fast-paced, collaborative team dedicated to creating impact for jobseekers in Singapore. The Recruitment Specialist will report directly to the COO and collaborate closely with the other teams to create impact in the lives of the Generation learners.


This is a key role in the organisation. The incumbent will be responsible to ensure a robust learner pipeline for Generation’s programmes. Our learners are diverse, ranging from youth to mature workers, across all socioeconomic background and abilities. As such, the incumbent needs to build a strong outreach strategy across online and offline channels to grow the pipeline of leads and convert them into applicants.


A successful recruitment specialist is a go-getter who is driven, extroverted and resourceful - the ideal candidate would have a combination of sales and marketing skills with a strong working knowledge of digital marketing. You should be a team player, working with the Communications and Programmes team to attract suitable learners for each Generation programme. You will have the opportunity to drive a wide range of recruitment-related activities and ensure that suitable learners are placed and recruitment objectives are achieved.

You will be part of Generation: You Employed, Singapore a local charity with a mission to create meaningful career pathways for people facing barriers to employment. We are an affiliate of Generation: You Employed, a global network of non-profit organisations working on a mission to bridge the gap between education and employment systems to prepare, place and support people into meaningful jobs that are otherwise inaccessible.


Generation was created in 2014 to help bridge this gap—at speed and scale. Till date, Generation has supported more than 106,000 people of all ages across 17 countries to get into career-launching jobs.Our placement rates are one of the best in the market at nearly 86% of all Generation graduates securing full-time jobs within 90 days from completing the programme.


What You Will Do

  • Work closely with marketing agency to develop strong programme marketing strategy to attract suitable learner demographic for Generation’s programmes, and constantly reiterate for best performance
  • Implement integrated programme marketing and outreach campaigns across online (digital marketing, direct marketing, webinars) and offline (print, broadcast, out-of-home, events, roadshows) touchpoints, to attract and convert prospective learners for Generation programmes
  • Grow and maintain a high performing recruitment funnel through a combination of critical analysis of marketing data, ‘blocking and tackling,’ and dedicated customer service
  • Set up and project manage end-to-end recruitment process on Generation’s recruitment portal
  • Guide applicants in their application process from start to finish, including proactively tracking their progress and troubleshooting as necessary, and working closely with programme team in the screening and shortlisting of applicants
  • Organise, coordinate and present at outreach events (such as recruitment fairs, programme info sessions and community engagement) and other organizational events (such as employer outreach and alumni networking)
  • Grow and nurture strong partnership network with community and grassroot partners on the ground
  • Where possible, contribute to the development of marketing materials

  • A team player - able to collaborate extensively across the organisation with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent planning, project management and organising skills, with meticulous attention to details
  • Strong data analytics skills - comfortable using data for decision making
  • Adaptable, open to changes and comfortable with fast working environment
  • Have a learning and growth mindset


Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of related work experience in recruitment, outreach and admission, talent acquisition, sales or marketing
  • Open to all educational qualifications if you match the competencies needed. Degree or diploma in Business, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Recruiting is an advantage
  • Proven track record in recruitment, lead generation and conversion, particularly in higher education or early/mid-career employment sector
  • Proven track record in organising campaigns, programmes and events from strategy to execution
  • Working knowledge in Adobe related software including Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design and Premiere Pro or other graphic design tools is an advantage
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing–certifications in Google Analytics, LinkedIn Ads, Meta Blueprint etc. is an advantage
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in Singapore
