Working hours: 8.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday with one hour off for lunch and
8.00am to 12.30pm rotating Saturday once in 4 weeks.
Role Summary
The Assistant Engineer will report directly to the Production Manager and collaborate closely with the production team. You will uphold quality control processes, comply with standards, and contribute to the success of our steel fiber products.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance and Control:
o Assist in conducting in-process inspections to verify product quality.
o Report any quality issues promptly to the Production Manager.
o Support material testing using in-house equipment.
o Work closely with the production team to maintain consistent quality standards.
2. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP):
o Follow established SOPs for various production processes.
o Ensure adherence to documented procedures to maintain product quality and consistency.
3. Compliance with Standards:
o Ensure adherence to various product and manufacturing standards, including:
▪ Singapore Standards (SS)
▪ European Standards (EN)
▪ Factory Production Certificate requirements
▪ ISO standards
o Assist in developing and updating Manufacturing Procedure Specifications (MPS) and Quality Control Plans (QCP).
4. Technical Support:
o Collaborate with the production manager to carry out tests and inspections.
o Address quality-related issues during production.
o Optimize production runs and shifts for efficiency.
5. Audits and Continuous Improvement:
o Participate in internal audits to assess compliance with quality standards.
o Propose process improvements to enhance production efficiency.
o Work as part of a cross-functional team to optimize operations.
6. Marketing Support:
o Assist the administration team in preparing technical specifications and packaging designs.
o Ensure accurate representation of product quality in marketing materials.
Qualifications:
• Diploma or relevant certification in Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years experience in quality assurance and control processes.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Effective communication skills and a team player.
