Our Growy Tech department is looking for a Control System Engineer with a focus on service tasks, including preventive and corrective maintenance. You will work independently most of the time and collaborate with vendors to set up and automate our vertical farming solutions by building PLC/SCADA-based control systems that interface with equipment from various suppliers.
What You'll Do
- Develop tasks related to automation systems.
- Provide service to PLCs, primarily Siemens S71500.
- Service our various panels, install new sensors or actuators.
- Develop new SCADA views in Ignition Perspective and integrate new systems into our SCADA system using the OPC UA server.
- Work with Docker containers.
- Work with our server and networking installation to find various improvements.
- Create new drawings, such as electrical or networking diagrams, or revise existing ones based on red lines.
- Develop test and R&D systems.
- Perform deployment tasks related to data acquisition backends.
- Evaluate and optimize the systems mentioned above.
What You'll Need
- Be a proactive person with a passion for hands-on work and occasional paperwork. Your work will be on-site at our Singapore location as a Control System Engineer, improving systems and providing service support.
- At least 3+ years of experience in automation and control technologies and systems.
- An electrical background is essential, with knowledge of digital and analog signals, passive and active sensors, process meters, and 4-20 mA and 0-10 V signals.
- Strong knowledge of Ignition Perspective, ideally at a semi-senior level, with motivation to learn and improve the SCADA system. Knowledge of OPC UA server and data modeling is required.
- Programming skills in Ladder Logic and Function Blocks with TIA Portal from Siemens. Familiarity with Proneta and Wireshark are a plus.
- Good understanding of Modbus RTU communication, TCP/IP, and Profinet.
- Strong troubleshooting skills on-site, with the ability to read electrical drawings and P&IDs or PFDs.
- Good understanding about documentation such as SOO, SOP and how to make these.
- Good AutoCAD Electrical skills, with the ability to create simple drawings and fix or improve existing ones. Eplan experience is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Good knowledge of network infrastructure.
- A team player with good communication skills in English.
