Job Overview:The Regional Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing assigned accounts within a designated region for a global company. This role requires a collaborative approach with internal and external stakeholders to achieve sales targets, build strong customer relationships, and contribute to the company's overall sales and marketing goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Identification and Qualification:Identify and qualify key accounts in collaboration with the Sales Director.
- Relationship Building:Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within target accounts.
Understand customer buying processes and key drivers, providing valuable insights to the Sales Director.
- Strategic Account Management:Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales growth and account expansion.
Actively quote customers for parts sales when not traveling.
- Representation and Promotion:Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and promotional functions.
Develop creative marketing programs to stimulate customer interest and demand.
- Knowledge Sharing and Communication:Share knowledge and best practices with internal teams.
Communicate effectively with customers to manage expectations and build trust.
- Reporting and Data Management:Provide regular updates and reports to the Sales Director.
Diligently maintain accurate account information within assigned territories.
Utilize data analytics to identify sales opportunities and optimize strategies.
Deliverables:
- Collaborate with counterparts in Repairs, Purchasing, and Sales Support across regions in support of the company’s sales and marketing efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven experience in account management, sales, or a related field within a global company.
- Strong understanding of customer buying processes and key market drivers.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic account plans.
- Proficiency in data analytics and CRM software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
