Job Overview:
The Site Foreman / Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations on residential landed & condo unit construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, and to the specified quality standards. This role involves managing teams, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities.
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
Allocate general and daily responsibilities to construction workers and subcontractors.
Team Supervision:
- Lead and supervise the work of construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers.
- Train and mentor site staff as needed.
- Monitor attendance and performance of site workers.
Quality Control:
- Ensure all work is carried out to high standards and in compliance with design specifications.
- Inspect work progress and verify quality.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on site.
Safety Management:
- Enforce safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks.
Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
Coordination and Communication:
- Report on project progress, site conditions, and any issues to the project manager.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with all team members.
Resource Management:
- Manage site materials, equipment, and tools.
- Ensure efficient use of resources to minimize waste and control costs.
- Order and manage supplies as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain daily site logs, including records of weather conditions, work performed, and any delays or issues.
- Prepare reports on project status, including progress updates and any concerns.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
