ROLE
The Resident Architect (RA) is responsible as an Consultant’s Site Representative Resident Architect (RA) acting on behalf of the QP(arch) who is also the Lead Consultant (LC) who in turn on behalf of the Client supervise and monitor and report on the contractors’ work to ensure work methodology and workmanship
are of satisfactory standards by witnessing all inspection, testing and commissioning sessions to make certain compliance to designs and contractual specifications.
JOB DESCRIPTION
· Work closely and supervise the Resident Technical Officer on behalf of the LC with regards to architectural works.
· Ensure work is carried out in accordance to the design intent, specifications, and quality of works as specified in the terms of contract and are in accordance with the Authority’s and/or Agencies requirements.
· Ensure timely clearing of submission of shop drawings, technical submittals and material samples including the civil & structural and coordinated combined services model (CCSM) by the contractors and assist to review them on behalf of the LC and LC’s assistant to ensure compliance with the design intent and
specifications.
· Raise Request for Variation Order or In-Principle Approval to Client immediately upon occurrence of change.
· Coordinate with Project Manager (PMgr) on daily updates and weekly reports on the work progress and issues on site, including necessary checklist and documentations.
· Maintain proper records of all site files on project correspondences, documents and drawings for easy retrieval and reference.
· Prepare and update the list of outstanding / non-compliance works for submission to the Architect / Management for discussion during site meetings on regular basis.
· Work closely with Entire Site team including the Resident Engineer (RE) on the day-to-day site operations.
· Attend all coordination meetings, take notes and maintain the records of such meetings and report to LC weekly.
