Responsibilities
• Participate in designing, developing, and implementing power generation
systems (gas turbines, Waste to Energy, Renewable Energy and New Energy)
or related equipment. This could involve boilers, turbines, generators, heat
exchangers, or other power plant machinery.
• Analyze existing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency,
safety, or output.
• Perform calculations and simulations to ensure designs meet performance and
safety requirements.
• Participate in the creation and revision of process flow diagrams and
schematics for the power plant.
• Collaborate with other discipline engineers to ensure overall plant integration.
• Assist with project management tasks for power plant-level consulting jobs.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for processes and equipment.
• Stay up to date on advancements in power generation technologies, industry
standards, and best practices.
• Work with vendors and contractors for the project development and execution.
• Work with Business Development/Proposal manager for proposal
development
Qualifications:
• Minimum of bachelor’s degree of science and engineering (Mechanical or Chemical), or a relevant technical field.
• Minimum 3-10 years working experience in relevant industry segments, of which at least 2 years in the consulting field.
• Experience in a power generation consulting environment (CCGT, Waste to Energy, solar, wind, etc.) is a plus but not always required.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, thermodynamics, Power Engineering (gas turbines and Waste to Energy), and fluid mechanics.
• Demonstrated diplomatic, management, and communication skills to liaise with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Proven ability to write technical reports and programs and deliver presentations.
• Hands-on experience with PDE/GT PRO/GT MASTER; STEAM PRO/STEAM MASTER; RE-MASTER/; THERMOFLEX and NOVO PRO.
• Exposure to MS office tool automation and Python.
• Experience with project management methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and the ability to communicate cross-culturally.
• Experience with waste characterization and feedstock analysis.
• Knowledge of other waste management technologies and the circular economy.
• Experience with gas turbine and waste treatment systems (flue gas, wastewater).
• Experience with project lifecycles and engineering design practices.
• Proficiency in engineering design software (HMB, CFD, piping design, etc.).
