Position: Educational Assessment Manager
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of assessment specialists and support staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development.
- Oversee multiple assessment projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Oversee the development and refinement of various assessment methods, including performance assessments, portfolios, written exams, and formative assessments specific to arts education.
- Develop and maintain robust data collection systems to gather accurate and comprehensive assessment data.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on assessment outcomes to educators, administrators, and stakeholders, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Develop and conduct professional development programs for teachers and staff on effective assessment practices, data interpretation, and using assessment results to inform instruction.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of assessment tools and practices.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, arts organizations, and community members to promote and support effective assessment practices.
- Keep abreast of the latest research, trends, and innovations in arts education and assessment.
- Oversee the budgeting and allocation of resources for assessment-related activities and tools.
- Develop and manage digital assessment platforms to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Regularly evaluate assessment practices and programs, making necessary adjustments to improve effectiveness and student outcomes.
Job Requirements
- At least a Master's degree in arts, education or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant managerial experience
- Minimum 5years of relevant experiences in similar industries
- Strong leadership and management skills to guide and support assessment teams and educational staff
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans for assessment that align with educational goals and standards
- Expertise in designing a variety of assessment types, including formative, summative, performance-based, and portfolio assessments
- Advanced analytical skills to interpret complex assessment data and generate actionable insights and recommendations
- Proficiency in aligning curriculum with assessment standards and educational objectives
- Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms for assessment and data analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey assessment processes, results, and recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, parents, and community members
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills to oversee multiple assessment projects simultaneously
