The role requires the incumbent to train and guide BIM modellers and drafters in company BIM standards, while also developing and managing 2D/3D models throughout various project stages.
The incumbent will also assist in project coordination, sequencing, and preparation of drawing plans, ensuring seamless integration of architectural, structural, and M&E construction drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Train BIM modellers and drafters in company BIM standards.
- Execute simulations for 4D and 5D.
- Develop 2D/3D models during design and construction stages.
- Check and incorporate architectural, structural, and M&E construction drawings into models; identify and raise discrepancies/conflicts among drawings.
- Highlight coordination issues to engineers and facilitate discussions with the design team for solutions.
- Guide project members on the usage, implementation, and adoption of BIM for construction operations.
- Assist Project Engineer in preparing drawing plan submissions.
- Support project team in shop drawing production.
- Assist project team in coordination, sequencing, constructability, and creating as-built models with BIM.
- Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by the Project Engineer and BIM Manager.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelors Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of solid work experience with BIM, preferably with an A1 Main Contractor.
- Required skills: Proficiency in REVIT.
- Preferably engineers specializing in Civil/Construction/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
- Proficient with C&S 2D/3D models.
- Experience with Residential Buildings/Infrastructure projects is advantageous.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
