Director, Front Office Service - INVESTMENT SUPPORT
Our client is leading financial services firm. They are looking for a seasoned Investment Support professional to join the team.
This role will work alongside the Heads of Investment (HoI) and will lead the Front Office Services (FOS) team comprising the following functional capabilities.
- Portfolio Services (Portfolio Implementation and Cash & Liquidity management)
- Investment Compliance (Guideline Coding and Investment Monitoring)
- Alternative Investment Services
- Derivative & Collateral Operations
- New Instrument and New Market Implementation
- Relationship Management
The role will also act as a support conduit between the investment professionals and broader Business Operations team, and departments in Singapore.
This is an important role with a number of key responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership to ensure that all activities are optimised, effectively balancing quality of service delivery, cost effectiveness and operational risk management.
- Deliver FOS capabilities in an innovative, efficient, and cost-effective manner and to guide the managers to manage the day-to-day activities in the department and any change initiatives.
- Provide leadership to the development of a client service-oriented culture and foster effective teamwork for FOS team.
- Assist in developing ideas and putting plans in place to develop a best-in-class investment support framework to assist our investments in maximizing Alpha opportunities.
- Represent Front Office Services and Business Operations in all operational interactions with Investment Management teams
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree a minimum, CFA/MBA an advantage.
- At least 10 years’ working experience in the Financial Services industry, ideally with experience in asset management & Operations.
- Strong understanding of investment concepts, instruments, asset classes and end-to-end processes.
- Familiarity with investment regulations in Asian markets highly regarded.
- People management and project management and analytical skills, and ability to multi-task.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office applications and excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
- Self-driven outlook with high levels of self-discipline, tenacity, and resilience.
- Excellent internal stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- External vendor relationship management experience and ability to drive change and negotiate.
- Excellent English communication and writing skills
- Aladdin experience and knowledge is a plus.
