Morgan McKinley is hiring an Insurance Claims Administrator for a 12-month contract with our client - a British financial services company, with the potential for extension or permanent placement. The role will be involved in managing life claims administration tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Life Claims Administration: Handle all the tasks related to life claims admin matters including assignment of daily manual claim and letter preparation (e.g. approved, rejection or ex-gratia life claims letters).
- Data Entry & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of life claim documents/files.
- Claims Record Management: Create, update, and maintain life claims records in the claim register promptly.
- Follow-Up: Coordinate with medical providers, policyholders, and agents to gather necessary medical reports and supporting documents.
- Customer Interaction: Handle outbound calls and respond to simple inquiries from medical providers and distribution channels using the department’s shared mailbox or CRM platform (e.g., Salesforce).
- Internal Audits: Conduct audits to ensure compliance with financial, operational, and regulatory standards.
- Control & Remediation: Identify control issues, handle compliance work, and update claims SOPs as needed.
- Quality Assurance: Perform daily/monthly checks to ensure claims are processed according to KPI and SOPs, implementing corrective and preventive measures.
- Team Collaboration: Assist team members during absences and undertake additional tasks assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Banking and Finance, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- With 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a life insurance company. Fresh graduates with relevant internships are encouraged to apply!
- Familiarity with life insurance processes and strong insurance knowledge is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
- Basic proficiency in Excel and Access.
