We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our retail collectible store team, a professional who is passionate about the collectibles industry and dedicated to operational excellence. Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of card collectibles.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and manage stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of new and in-demand items.
2. Staff Management
- Recruit, train, and supervise shop staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive work environment and motivate team members to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
- Handle employee conflicts and disciplinary actions when necessary.
3. Customer Service
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and engagement.
- Handle customer complaints and inquiries efficiently and courteously.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer loyalty and retention.
4. Sales and Marketing
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue goals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional events and campaigns.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
5. Financial Management
- Monitor and control operational budgets to ensure profitability.
- Oversee cash handling and banking procedures.
- Prepare and present financial reports to upper management.
6. Store Operations
- Ensure the shop is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Implement and enforce shop policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
7. Technology and Systems
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of POS systems and other relevant technologies.
- Ensure data accuracy and security.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role in a retail environment.
- Strong understanding of retail management and inventory control.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems.
- Passion for card collecting and knowledge of the industry is a plus.
Other Requirements
- Flexibility to work weekends, public holiday and shift work.
- Flexibility to work at odd working hours (1pm to 12am)
