The individual will work very closely and support the commercial team for all technical related activities. S/he ensures our key offerings and solutions are well demonstrated in customer projects and briefs.
In addition, the individual will also participates and supports strategic R&D activities and plans by working closely with the respective key stakeholders to ensure that we are in a strong position to capture and convert key opportunities with our target and growth accounts.
A. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely delivery and completion of key customer briefs
- Suggests/recommends the most appropriate and suitable flavours based to project and customers’ brief and enquires
- Supports commercial teams in all technical presentations/workshops/trainings to key customers when assigned
- Develops pro-active applications, prototypes and concepts in line with the commercial and marketing plans
- Collaborates with the Creation team to test and showcase new flavour concepts in as part of our growth strategy
- Prepares and coordinates for evaluations of market products with commercial teams
- Maintains knowledge of customer’s strategies, brand and products in focus markets
- Ensures that all lab equipments are in good working conditions through regular maintenance & servicing
- Adopts good and proper lab practices in accordance to our Group policies and protocols
- Leverage innovations and insights from different regions to drive the overall competitiveness of the company
B. Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- University degree in food science or related area
- Minimum 4 years’ experience for technologist (>7 years for Senior) in the flavour and/or food ingredients R&D, product development or related role, with a good track record of developing prototypes for customer projects, briefs
- Strong experience across all F&B segments
- Knowledge in food processing UHT, pasteurization and food machinery
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Good team player and positive thinking
- Communication (internally and externally)
- Effective organisational skills
- Able to demonstrate analytical thinking
