Responsibilities
Technical Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on marine diesel engines, including inspection, cleaning, and replacement of parts as necessary.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot engine malfunctions, electrical faults, and electronic automation system issues.
- Conduct testing and calibration of engine control systems and electronic components to ensure optimal performance.
Engine Overhaul and Reconditioning:
- Assist in the overhaul and reconditioning of marine engines and related components, including cylinder heads, pistons, and fuel injection systems.
- Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild engine components according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
Electronic Automation Systems:
- Familiarize yourself with electronic automation systems used in marine vessels, including engine control systems, propulsion systems, and monitoring devices.
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic automation system faults, including wiring issues, sensor malfunctions, and software glitches.
Qualifications
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Service Technician specializing in marine diesel engines and electronic automation systems.
- In-depth knowledge of marine diesel engine components, operation principles, and maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and electronic faults in marine systems.
- Familiarity with engine control systems, electronic automation software, and diagnostic tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
