Salesforce Technical Architect
Responsibilities:
- Offers best practice advice and recommendations to clients often extending beyond Salesforce to topics around overall systems architecture and CRM strategy
- Leads and facilitates project discovery to define clients' business requirement, producing a report of findings with recommended steps and a roadmap for solutions
- Leads technical requirements gathering and/or design workshops for complex projects with recommended steps and a roadmap for solutions
- Leads and facilitate data integration, migration and deployment strategies and recommend a sustainable solution
- Groom and refine product backlog, in liaison with stakeholders on the project and Salesforce SMEs
- Own the design of Salesforce and other affiliated solutions for Sales, Service, and platform solutions,
- Act as a release manager, approving configuration and coded items to be deployed between environments. Where appropriate, this could include deploying changes
- Provide guidance on user story refinement, and ensure success and acceptance criteria are defined for each story,
- Documentation on recommended solution, describe and illustrate designs with appropriate justifications
- Ensure documentation of the steps for testing to ensure quality testing
- Performing code reviews of the development team to ensure best practice and agreed standards are followed
- Supervise the configuration, quality assurance, testing, fixes and deployment of Salesforce
- Guiding the development team in using the latest Salesforce technology which may include Lightning, Apex, Platform Shield, Files Connect, Lightning Connect, Mulesoft and WebMethods integration with SAP
- Collaborative project and workstream planning
- Manages and mentors junior team members
Requirements:
- At least 10 years' experience in leading the delivery of medium and large scale Salesforce implementation
- Deep technical knowledge in two or more Salesforce clouds (e.g., Sales, Service, and Integration with SAP)
- Excellent communications skills to liaise with all levels of stakeholders regarding practice and vendor capabilities - as well as managing stakeholder expectations
- Demonstrated understanding of underlying client business problems and the ability to develop Salesforce technology-enabled solutions that addresses their needs ideally within the Manufacturing industry.
- Experience in leading the end-to-end design of Salesforce platform solutions with an understanding of how Salesforce fits into the overall architectural landscape.
- Proven experience in successfully delivering Salesforce solutions using an agile methodology - and in managing development team, onshore and offshore
- Proven experience in governing solutions as per agreed design and coding standards and guidelines
- Ability to problem solve, coupled with a tenacious nature spurred on further by something not working as it should.
- We are in need of people with strong Integration experience from Salesforce to SAP SD and FICO, you will have experience with either Mulesoft or WedMethods.
- Proven experience of Apex, Triggers, Classes and Lightning Web Components, API Web Services and Salesforce declarative programming techniques.
- Salesforce Certification(s) in Platform Developer II; Sales; Service; or Community Cloud. Good to have: System Architect, Application Architect. Ideally you will be on the architect certification path.
