We are hiring an experienced teacher for maternity coverage from 20 August to 30 September 2024.
Mandarinstars provides Chinese tuition for Primary School students who have difficulties learning Chinese using the traditional learning methods. Our curriculum breaks down learning into smaller manageable parts, so students are able to learn to read, write and understand Chinese language. We keep our class size small up to 6 students so teachers can dedicate their time to teach.
Job Scope
- Conduct lessons based on lesson plans and curriculum. Detailed lesson plans will be provided.
- Cover lessons for colleagues when they are sick or on leave.
- Provide updates to parents about student progress and to upload lesson summary to parents onto the portal after each lesson.
- Mark students’ work.
- On-the-Job training will be provided for the successful candidate to learn how to teach and manage neuro-diverse students with dyslexia and attention deficit hyperactive disorder.
- Assist with preparing teaching materials in the morning (when there are no lessons)
Qualifications
- Degree holder with at least 2 years of experience teaching Chinese language at MOE schools or Chinese enrichment center.
- Only applicable to Singaporeans and Permanent Residents.
- Excellent spoken and written skills in Chinese language.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player
- Competence in PC skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
- Working hours- Monday to Thursdays (4 weekdays),Saturdays and Public Holidays
