Summary
Epigram is looking for a confident and motivated individual to join its custom publishing team. As a custom publishing manager or executive, your primary role is to introduce the company’s bespoke services to potential customers, as well as devise suitable publishing solutions for their needs.
Working alongside the design studio and editorial teams, you’ll make timely and suitable recommendations for each client, helping them achieve their publishing goals within the intended project scope.
Job Scope
· Answer queries about our publishing services via multiple channels
. Understand client’s project goals and requirements, advise them on the possibilities and limitations, and propose suitable publishing solutions
. Organise and lead internal brainstorm sessions including conducting background research, contribute to the creative, write copy and proofread proposal decks
. Strategise and curate project opportunities according to the company’s priorities and the team’s overall publishing schedule
. Source vendors and shortlist suitable talents for the project, including but not limited to writers, editors, photographers and illustrators
· Prepare and submit tender documents including cost proposals, timelines, track records and any other documents required
. Negotiate offers and terms with both clients and vendors to deliver the best project outcome
. Vet and endorse, on behalf of the company, all tender and project contracts and agreements
· Make presentations to decision makers and working teams
. Follow up on all queries in a timely manner
· Reorganise and update company's portfolio on a regular basis
· Keep and update record of past projects, client list and contact details
· Organise the production and distribution of corporate gifts for clients each year
· Register for, update and maintain company credentials for various government procurement platforms
Requirements
We are looking for an independent and confident individual, equipped with high emotional intelligence and effective communication skills. A strong command in both written and spoken English is a must. Ability to communicate in Mandarin is a bonus. The candidate is expected to show initiative in learning and value-adding the firm and the clients he/she services.
The candidate is expected to attend meetings, develop proposals and make presentations to clients on a regular basis. A keen understanding of the corporate sector will be helpful, and a critical eye for design is advantageous. Throughout the course of work, the candidate will be required to work with various internal departments including the design studio, project management, production and finance. Probation is 6 months depending on performance.
