KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The IT Business Partner has the overall responsibility to serve as a strategic interface to the business units of Wilmar Affiliate (Perennial) for business technology strategy development, solution discovery and implementation as well as service management, in support of business objectives. The role will act as the Business-IT relationship link between the business units in Singapore, and SEA (Malaysia / Thailand), with government agencies, business counterparts and external vendors.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS AND COVERAGE:
- Specialize in implementing digital projects or bringing innovative IT solutions across Retail, Office, Healthcare and Hospitality businesses in Singapore and SEA (Malaysia / Thailand), where appropriate
- Act as the key liaison across functional areas, including Business Units in Singapore and SEA (Malaysia / Thailand), where appropriate leveraging on the solutions from China. Work with China IT to coordinate global rollout
- Effective communicator with key business stakeholders and work closely with Business Units to have good understanding of business processes, business strategies and resources
- Possess good technical background, broad knowledge of technology solutions and ability to use them to effectively coordinate and integrate across both internal and external resources and technology platforms.
- Able to evaluate IT demands and collaborate with Technology Business Partners to address requirements and provide direction on solutions from a standard product or architecture perspective
- Consistently drive adoption of industry’s best practices, share information on leading technology and digitalization trends and provide perspectives or recommendations for business operations
- Experienced in Integrated Project Management in managing the development, integration and implementation of solutions key to the Business Units
- Support in the procurement process for of service or technology solution which entails to vendor sourcing, preparation of tender (RFQ/RFP/RFI), evaluation and vendor selection
- Manage and Monitor IT operations for Wilmar Affiliate (Perennial) with the support of Wilmar Group IT and provide level 1 application and technical support by working with clients to identify, troubleshoot and escalate using IT support ticketing and tracking system
- Build and plan for all IT environment infrastructure and security related activities, tasks and projects execution with the support of Wilmar Group IT
- Pro-actively monitor overall IT Applications and Infrastructure status leveraging on Wilmar Group IT and provide insightful reporting to the Perennial management team.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICAIONS & COMPETENCIES:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Information Technology or equivalent.
- Have demonstrated at least 5-8 years IT business partnering in a mid to large size end user IT environment preferably in Healthcare and Hospitality businesses
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate/lead multiple projects/activities and strong vendor management and negotiation skillsets
- Good knowledge of ITIL disciplines and familiar with leading technological platforms including cloud technologies, mobile applications, AI, analytics, robotics etc.
- Is Process-oriented with keen analytical skills on process and operational flows
- Have the capability to organize, manage, and direct cross-countries teams to address and solve technical and business issues
- Strong verbal and written communication (English and Mandarin), interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to converse in Chinese is required.
- Preferably with experience in Healthcare (Hospital or Community Care Sectors).
- Familiarity with eldercare facility set-up and monitoring devices / applications would be a plus.
