Responsibilities:
- Ensure the best quality pet care and to maximize the veterinarian’s productivity.
- Lead communications with veterinarians and veterinary medical team to maintain the flow of pets.
- Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times. This includes performing procedures that do not require veterinarian assistance, completing preparatory work for other procedures, ensuring that clients and pets are comfortable in the hospital, and monitoring hospitalized or surgical pets.
- Obtain relevant information and history from clients to maintain proper and complete medical charts.
- Ensure the safety of pets, clients and associates by utilizing safe restraining techniques, following standard protocols while maintaining clean, sterile and organized treatment areas, exams rooms and labs.
- Educate clients about preventive care, pet health needs, any diagnosis or treatment, hospital services and other related matters.
- Assist with surgery as applicable.
- Utilize technical skills to the fullest, within mandated regulations regarding duties of credential veterinary technicians.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Graduate(d) with Diploma in Veterinary Technology/ Veterinary Nursing/ Cert IV or any relevant education from a recognised institution.
- Minimal 1-2 years of work experience in veterinary clinic or hospital is preferred.
- Could commit to 44 hours work week based on rotation inclusive of weekends and public holidays.
